Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim today did hot hold back when he took a swipe at Perikatan Nasional (PN) information chief Datuk Seri Azmin Ali over the remark by the latter belittling Pakatan Harapan’s (PH) mantra “Reformasi”.
The Prime Minister and PH president turned the table against Azmin when he accused the latter for trying to put an end to the “Reformasi” struggle.
Anwar, who is also PKR president, insisted that those who remained in the party and PH still uphold “Reformasi” in their efforts to champion good governance and justice for the people.
“He (Azmin) started (his political career with Reformasi) but he was the one who ended it.
“Others (who are still in PKR and PH) still remain true to the struggles. Alhamdulillah,” he told reporters today.
Azmin last night slammed Anwar when the former claimed that the Prime Minister’s efforts for reforms had long been buried.
During a PN ceramah in Simpang Jeram in Muar, Johor, Azmin said there was no effort by the unity government to rehabilitate the economy of the country and improve the livelihood of the people. Nst
