Nearly RM1 million in sex toys seized from Puchong warehouse

PETALING JAYA: Nearly RM1 million worth of prohibited sex toys destined for online sale were seized by the Customs Department during a raid on a warehouse at Taman Perindustrian Putra Puchong on Sept 30.

Federal Territories Customs Department director Wan Norizan Wan Daud said they seized 18,140 adult toys involving 30 different types and 20 varying brands.

“Based on our checks the seizures were worth an estimated RM800,000,” she told reporters at the Federal Territories Customs Office here today.

She said the adult toys were classified as “absolutely prohibited goods” (barang larangan mutlak) under the First Schedule, Item Five of the Customs (Prohibition of Imports) Order 2023.
