Fire destroys warehouse storing oranges, dates and onions
KOTA BARU: A warehouse on Jalan Kebun Sultan here was destroyed in a fire on Sunday night.
The warehouse reportedly stored tens of tonnes of oranges, as well as dates and onions, which were also destroyed in the blaze.
A spokesman for the Kelantan Fire and Rescue Department said they received a call about the incident at 9.09pm.
“Fire engines were immediately dispatched and arrived at the scene at 9.16pm.
“The distance to the location is approximately 2.6km. Upon arrival, we found that the fire involved a warehouse, and firefighting operations are ongoing,” the spokesperson said.
Three lorries were also seen destroyed in the fire.
