Jeng, jeng, jeng says Khairy as he teases Hari Raya announcements next week

Health Minister Khairy Jamaluddin will announce an “update” on the Hari Raya Aidilfitri celebrations next week.

However, he did not give any indication as to what the announcement would be about.

“Next week, I will announce updates on the Hari Raya Aidilfitri celebrations, jeng jeng jeng… and several other important announcements,” he said in a three-minute long video today.

Khairy reminded people to observe standard operating procedures (SOP) and urged the elderly to get their booster shots, whole advising the public not to be negligent.

“It has been 18 days since we reopened our borders, and soon we will be celebrating Hari Raya Aidilfitri.

“What’s important is to ensure the high-risk groups are protected. So, bring your parents and grandparents to get their booster shots.

“Covid-19 is still dangerous to the elderly.”

On Thursday, Khairy announced that those above 60 years old with high comorbidities could choose to get a second dose of the Covid-19 vaccine booster.

However, he stressed that the fourth round of vaccination is not compulsory, but merely optional for this group of people.

He had also announced that people aged 12 and above who are moderately or severely immunocompromised may get their booster shot at least 28 days after receiving their second vaccine jab. Nst
