Two motorcyclists killed after car skids into opposite lane
JOHOR BARU: Two men were killed when the motorcycles they were riding were hit by a car that skidded into the opposite lane at Km 24.9 of Jalan Johor Baru-Gelang Patah-Pendas here.
Iskandar Puteri district police chief Assistant Commissioner Radin Ramlan Radin Taha said the accident occurred when the car driver lost control of the vehicle while negotiating a wet bend.
He said the car then veered into the opposite lane before crashing into the two motorcycles.
“Both motorcyclists, aged 34 and 50, were pronounced dead at the scene.
“They sustained severe head and leg injuries.

“Their bodies were sent to Sultanah Aminah Hospital for post-mortem examinations,” he said.
Radin said the car driver and two passengers suffered minor injuries.
“The case is being investigated under Section 41(1) of the Road Transport Act 1987 for reckless driving causing death,” he said.
