NILAI: The two drivers involved in a fight at Kilometre 276 of the North-South Expressway (PLUS) southbound here yesterday are said to have reached an amicable settlement.

Nilai district police chief Superintendent Johari Yahya said, however, that police would continue investigating the incident, which occurred around 11am yesterday.

“The latest development involves the 40-year-old Ferrari driver and 35-year-old Perodua Aruz driver in the incident that went viral on social media.

“Both parties met and held private discussions at their own request, without the involvement or intervention of police,” he said in a statement today.

Johari said the discussions resulted in both parties reaching a mutual agreement to resolve the dispute amicably and not pursue the matter further.

“Both parties also agreed, at their own request, to issue a joint media statement to explain the resolution reached following the video of the incident going viral on social media,” he said.

Johari said despite the amicable settlement, it would not affect the police investigation.

“The investigation will continue and be completed based on the statements and evidence obtained for further action.

“Both individuals have been released on police bail, with each released under the guarantee of one guarantor,” he said.
