Pas to invite Umno leaders to annual muktamar

KOTA BARU: Pas will invite Umno leaders to attend its 72nd muktamar in Kelantan next month.

Pas secretary-general Datuk Seri Takiyuddin Hassan said the invitation letter would be sent soon.

“Following a meeting, we agreed to invite Umno leaders as our political partners.

“We will send an invitation letter to the Umno secretary-general (Datuk Dr Asyraf Wajdi Dusuki), and it is up to the party to decide who will attend.

“Meanwhile, the party’s wings, including the youth wing, will also invite their counterparts from Umno,” he said when met after attending the Pas 72nd muktamar organising committee meeting here today.

He added that next month’s muktamar would also mark Pas’ 75th anniversary.

“We are still receiving motions from Pas divisions as some have yet to hold their meetings,” he said.
