Floods: 81 still at relief centre, Linggi bridge submerged

GUA MUSANG – A total of 81 evacuees from 22 families remain sheltered at a temporary relief centre (PPS) in Gua Musang after floods hit the district.

According to the Social Welfare Department’s (JKM) InfoBencana portal, the relief centre is at Sekolah Kebangsaan (SK) Limau Kasturi 1, covering one mukim.

Meanwhile, a Bernama check today found that Linggi Bridge, which connects about 600 Orang Asli from the Mendriq and Bateq communities in Kampung Pasir Linggi, Pos Lebir, here, has been submerged by floodwaters from Sungai Linggi since yesterday morning following continuous heavy rain in the district.

The situation has cut off the residents’ road access, forcing them to use boats to leave the settlement. – BERNAMA
