Ahmad Maslan confident BN can hold its own against PN

KUALA LUMPUR: Umno Supreme Council member Datuk Seri Ahmad Maslan has dismissed claims by PH election director Datuk Seri Amirudin Shari that BN would be “swallowed” by PN.

His remarks followed the two coalitions’ cooperation in the upcoming Negri Sembilan election.

Ahmad, who is also Deputy Works Minister, said BN’s previous experience in political cooperation had given the coalition a clear understanding of the best approach when negotiating with PN, particularly Pas.

“They (PN) will not swallow us because we have extensive experience dealing with them, especially Pas.

“In the Melaka election in 2022 and the Johor election in 2026, we offered them seats, but they refused and ended up losing. Eventually, PN learnt from that experience.

“And, of course, we will repeat that experience as a reminder to our friends in PN,” he said.
