Thunderstorms, heavy rain expected in 6 states and Labuan until 1am

KUALA LUMPUR: The Malaysian Meteorological Department (MetMalaysia) has issued a warning of thunderstorms, heavy rain and strong winds affecting six states and Labuan until 1am tomorrow.

In a statement, MetMalaysia said in Penang, the Southwest and Northeast districts are expected to be affected, while in Perak, the areas involved include Kinta, Kampar, Batang Padang and Muallim.

In Terengganu, Kuala Nerus and Kemaman are expected to be affected, while in Pahang similar conditions are forecast for Cameron Highlands, Lipis, Raub and Kuantan.

In Sabah, the warning covers interior areas of Sipitang, Tenom, Kuala Penyu, Beaufort, Nabawan and Keningau, as well as the west coast district of Papar.
