Court fixes two-day hearing for Vivy Yusof’s sister CBT case

The Sessions Court here has fixed a two-day trial in November in the case of former company director Intan Safina Yusof who is accused of criminal breach of trust involving RM200,000.

Judge Sabariah Othman scheduled Nov 17 and 18 for the trial after the case was brought up for mention here on Monday (Aug 24).

Intan Safina, 39, who is the elder sister to FashionValet co-founder and entrepreneur Datin Vivy Yusof (pic), was accused of transferring the monies from the account of Arena Abadi Sdn Bhd – where she sat as the director – to her own bank account where she used the money for her own personal expenses.

Arena Abadi is a company involved in the construction and agriculture businesses.



Earlier, lawyer Mohd Faizal Mohd Aris informed the court that he was recently appointed to represent the accused.

“All the documents have been submitted and I am still reviewing all the documents, ” he said.

Deputy Public Prosecutor Noorhani Muhmmed Ayub said that six prosecution witnesses would be called to testify.

Intan Safina claimed trial to the offence on July 23.



The offence was allegedly committed at a building in Jalan Tun Sambanthan 3, Brickfields, between Jan 25 and Feb 28,2019.

The charge under Section 409 of the Penal Code carries imprisonment between two to 20 years and whipping and liable to a fine.

The accused is currently out on a RM30,000 bail. The Star
