Rauf to remain Melaka CM if BN wins state polls, says Zahid

The BN chairman said his confidence in Rauf stemmed from his leadership record and capabilities, which he had demonstrated since serving as Umno executive secretary.

The Election Commission has set Nov 14 as polling day for the Melaka election, with nomination day on Oct 31 and early voting on Nov 10.

BN won 21 of the 28 seats contested in the 2021 Melaka state polls, paving the way for the coalition to form the state government, while Pakatan Harapan secured five seats and Perikatan Nasional two.
