The Governor of Bank Negara Is Advised to Resign or Go On Leave First

By Sirajuddin Ahmad

Given that Datuk Seri Najib Razak has lodged a complaint with the Police regarding information and evidence hidden from the knowledge of the defense, the proposal and recommendation to ask the current Governor of Bank Negara to resign is very reasonable.

The latest development regarding DSNR Police report involves a prestigious national financial institution, namely Bank Negara Malaysia.

So, if according to the Report it is found that Bank Negara Malaysia has not acted on the information obtained from the Singapore Police and CAD intelligence since it was handed over around 2016, then a major offense has been committed which is to hide a commercial crime case or AMLA case.

The hidden information is said will be used by DSNR lawyers in cases faced by DSNR.

With this, the Governor of BNM today was advised to resign for not performing her duties properly after the previous Governor, Tan Sri Zeti, completed her term of service.

The country will no longer be respected, if an individual who became Governor is found to have protected the previous Governor.

The country’s institutions and agencies have been tainted by Politicians, burdening the people with a non-transparent image.

So, the best way with the latest chaos due to the 1MDB/SRC case created for DSNR is for the Governor to relinquish her post for the good of the country.
