SEREMBAN: Barisan Nasional chairman Ahmad Zahid Hamidi was seen arriving at Istana Hinggap here tonight, believed to be for an audience with Tuanku Muhriz Tuanku Munawir, the Yang Dipertuan Besar of Negeri Sembilan.

More than 10 vehicles believed to be carrying leaders of BN and its electoral ally Perikatan Nasional, including Negeri Sembilan BN chairman Mohamad Hasan, entered the palace grounds at about 10pm.

The informal BN-PN alliance secured a two-thirds majority by winning 25 of the 36 seats in the state assembly, ousting Pakatan Harapan after two terms in office.

BN won 18 seats comprising Umno (16) and MCA (2), PN secured seven through PAS, while PH won 11 seats through DAP (9) and PKR (2).
