PETALING JAYA: A pilot who owns the company operating an aircraft linked to a 521kg methamphetamine seizure in Laos was among four people arrested at a hangar at Sultan Abdul Aziz Shah Airport in Subang today.

The four were arrested during an operation shortly before the aircraft they were in was scheduled to depart from Subang for Manila, reported Berita Harian.

Sources said enforcement personnel moved in while the pilot, co-pilot and two female crew members were preparing for the flight.

The pilot’s company owns both the aircraft detained at Subang today and the private jet that arrived at Luang Prabang International Airport in Laos on Oct 1 carrying 521kg of methamphetamine.

A Malaysian was among 13 people arrested in Laos after the private jet, which had flown from Subang, was found to be carrying 21 suitcases containing meth.
