Actor and singer Fattah Amin failed in his bid to obtain leave to commence committal proceedings against his former wife, actress Nur Fazura, at the Syariah High Court on March 31 over visitation rights for their only child, Nur Fatima Aisya.

SHAH ALAM – Actor and singer Fattah Amin failed in his bid to obtain leave to commence committal proceedings against his former wife, Nur Fazura, at the Syariah High Court here on March 31 over visitation rights for their only child, Nur Fatima Aisya.

Syarie lawyer Fakhrul Azman Abu Hassan who represented actress and singer Fazura, whose full name is Nur Fazura Sharifuddin, 42, confirmed the matter when contacted on Friday.

He said Fattah, whose full name is Abdul Fattah Mohd Amin, had filed an ex parte application against Fazura regarding an alleged breach of court orders related to visitation rights for their six-year-old daughter.

The lawyer said the committal proceedings could have resulted in Fazura facing imprisonment if she was found to have violated the court order.

“According to court records, the application was filed by Fattah in early February.

“However, on March 31, Syarie judge Salehan Yatim dismissed the application,” he said.

After seven years of marriage, the popular celebrity couple was officially divorced with one talak at the Petaling Syariah lower court in Subang Bestari here on Oct 7, 2024.

They had married on Nov 27, 2017, and were blessed with a daughter.
