Marriage in crisis? Zizi Kirana, Yusuf Bahrin arrive separately at Syariah Court

SHAH ALAM: Singer Zizi Kirana and her husband, actor Yusuf Bahrin, arrived at the Petaling Lower Syariah Court this morning to attend proceedings believed to be related to their marriage.

Yusuf, 34, dressed in an all-black ensemble, arrived at the court complex at 8.40am.

“God willing, everything is fine. Please pray for the best. I am okay. Happy Eid,” he told members of the press who had gathered at the entrance.

Shortly after, Zizi, 41, arrived at 8.45am clad in a black jubah. She was accompanied by veteran actress Datin Paduka Umie Aida.

When questioned, the singer, whose real name is Nur Fazelah Mad Tahil, remained tight-lipped.

“I have nothing to share. I am not even sure about the process today,” she said, though she did confirm that this was her first time attending court for the matter.

Umie Aida added a brief word of support for the couple, saying: “Pray for the best. We hope that everything is made easy for both parties.”

Speculation regarding the couple’s marriage has been rife since the recent Eid celebrations.

Fans grew concerned after the pair shared separate holiday photos on social media, a departure from their usual practice of appearing together at public events and online.

Yusuf’s post, captioned “Eid in a peaceful atmosphere,” featured him with family members but without his wife. Simultaneously, Zizi uploaded photos of herself celebrating alone.

Further fueling the rumours, eagle-eyed followers recently noticed that the couple had reportedly stopped following each other on social media.

Despite the growing chatter, neither party has issued a formal statement regarding the status of their relationship.

Zizi and Yusuf tied the knot on Sept 19, 2021, after initially meeting during the recording of the entertainment programme All Together Now Malaysia.
