Delivery motorcyclist dies following crash with car

PETALING JAYA: A delivery rider was killed after his motorcycle rear-ended a car stopped in the left lane of the New Pantai Expressway (NPE) here.

The 38-year-old man was pronounced dead at the scene at 1.40pm yesterday.

Deputy district police chief Superintendent M Hussin Sollehuddin Zolkifly said police received a report on the accident at 1.50pm.

“Preliminary investigations found the victim is believed to have hit the rear of a car that had stopped due to a breakdown.

“He sustained severe injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene,” he said in a statement.

If convicted, it carries a maximum jail term of 10 years and a fine of up to RM50,000,” he added.
