Family seeks help locating missing daughter in Kajang

KUALA LUMPUR: A couple is searching for their only child, a 25-year-old lawyer who has been missing since Monday.

Nur Dinie Sani Hasrul Sani was last seen leaving their home in Kajang for her office in Mont Kiara.

However, she did not reach her place of work where she does litigations.

Her office called her father who lodged a missing person’s report the same day.

Speaking to the New Straits Times, Hasrul Sani Omar said it has been five days since her daughter went missing and there had been no news since.

“It is so unlike her to not contact us like this.”

Hasrul described his only child as a devoted daughter who spent most of her free time at home with her mother, Noren Azman, 51.

“She shares all her daily activities with her mother. Almost all of her friends are known to us, and she is an obedient daughter, never causing any trouble. We also never argue about anything,” he said.

The 56-year-old former salesman said on the morning of her disappearance, Dinie, as she is fondly called, was dressed in her lawyer’s blazer and had left home at 6.30am.

“I hugged and kissed her. I had asked her whether she wanted me to send her to work but she declined. That was basically the last thing she said.”

He said her office contacted him about 10.30am asking for her whereabouts.

Hasrul is appealing to the public to help locate Dinie.

Earlier, Kajang police chief Assistant Commissioner Naazron Abdul Yusof sought public assistance to locate Nur Dinie, who was reported missing by her father at 12.16pm on Monday.

Nur Dinie is about 155cm tall, weighs around 49kg and has a slim build.

She was last seen wearing a black headscarf, a black blazer and black trousers.

Her last known location was Apartment Sri Cempaka, Jalan Sepakat Indah 2/1, Taman Sepakat, here.
