BUKIT MERTAJAM: A four-month-old baby boy placed in the care of a childcare centre in Seberang Jaya Hospital here has died.
Penang police chief Datuk Azizee Ismail said they received a report on the incident and the baby’s body was sent to the same hospital for a post-mortem examination.
“Police have arrested two female employees at the centre, both in their 20s. They will be brought to court on Tuesday (March 10) for a remand application.
“Police have opened an investigation under Section 302 of the Penal Code for murder, and further investigations are ongoing,” he said on Monday (March 9).
