SUBANG Jaya city councillors have been told to communicate effectively with residents in order to provide efficient service.

Mayor Datuk Amirul Azizan Abd Rahim also urged them to work promptly and support the residents.

“You must ensure the residents in your respective zones are not ignored. I hope all our councillors will support this (call).

“If we put ourselves in their (residents) shoes, when we send a message or complaint, we want to hear back (from the other party), immediately or not, as long as there is effective communication both ways.”

He was speaking to reporters yesterday after witnessing the swearing-in of 24 councillors for a two-year term, from Jan 1, 2026, to Dec 31, 2027, at the Subang Jaya City Council headquarters in USJ5, Subang Jaya.
