Armada tells Saifuddin to quit Bersatu if he no longer trusts Muhyiddin

SHAH ALAM – Bersatu’s youth wing Armada, has slammed party Supreme Council member Datuk Seri Saifuddin Abdullah for his open criticism of the party’s president, Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin, calling it a self-serving move that threatens party unity.

Armada information chief Harris Idaham Rashid said the remarks made by Saifuddin were clearly driven by personal and factional motives that could weaken Bersatu from within.

“This open attack clearly reveals the intent and motive behind it. If he has lost confidence in the president, it would be better for Saifuddin to leave the party.

“No individual is greater than the party and discipline and loyalty to the cause must be upheld by every member. Anyone who repeats behaviour that threatens the stability of the party is also a traitor who should be expelled immediately,” Harris said in a statement on Monday.

In the wake of his remarks, the Jelajah Semarak Bersatu Fasa 1 Johor–Melaka tour was launched by a group of division leaders including Datuk Zulkifli Bujang (Johor Bahru), Musa Khamis (Tanjung Piai), Datuk Rashid Hasnon (Parit Sulong), Abdul Halim Abu Bakar (Mersing) and Datuk Isa Hamid (Pontian).

The group not only pressed for Muhyiddin’s resignation as president but also demanded that Datuk Seri Mohamed Azmin Ali be removed from his position and that Datuk Tun Faisal be replaced as Bersatu’s information chief.

This internal rift followed a string of disciplinary measures against several Members of Parliament and senior Bersatu leaders who were either suspended or expelled for supporting the government.
