PETALING JAYA: PAS says it will contest 12 seats in the coming Sabah state election
Its vice-president, Nik Amar Abdullah, said the matter, however, is still being discussed with Bersatu and the other coalition partners.
“We hope PAS will win at least one seat. PAS wants to break our ‘egg’ (zero count) in Sabah,” Utusan Malaysia reported him as saying in Kota Bharu, Kelantan, last night.
The Election Commission set Nov 29 as polling day for the polls. Nominations will be held on Nov 15 and early voting on Nov 25.
The Sabah legislative assembly has 79 seats, with 73 of them being contested. The other six are appointed state seats.
