PETALING JAYA: A man’s body was found floating and entangled in a pile of rubbish in Sungai Klang near USJ 1, Subang Jaya, yesterday.
Subang Jaya police chief Wan Azlan Wan Mamat said the body, believed to be about 160cm tall, was discovered by a member of the public inspecting a nearby project site, Harian Metro reported.
There were no identification papers on the body, which was clad in black long pants and a collared T-shirt with the word “Security” on it.
“The complainant saw the body caught between rocks and rubbish and contacted 999 to alert the police at about 11.15am,” Wan Azlan was quoted as saying.
A police team, together with forensic officers from the Selangor police headquarters and personnel from the fire and rescue department, went to the scene.

A forensic officer from the Selangor police’s criminal investigation department found the body in an advanced state of decomposition, with no visible injuries, he said.
The remains were sent to the forensic department of Hospital Sultan Idris Shah in Serdang for a post-mortem. The case has been classified as sudden death.
