Nine arrested in viral biker mob attack on Myvi in Puchong
KUALA LUMPUR, Sept 30 — Police have arrested nine men for allegedly terrorising a Perodua Myvi driver in a mob attack near the Batu 13 Toll Plaza in Puchong early Sunday morning.
Serdang district police chief ACP Muhamad Farid Ahmad said the suspects, aged between 17 and 21, were arrested in a series of raids around Puchong and Shah Alam early this morning.
He added that three motorcycles believed to have been used in the incident were also seized, Berita Harian reported.
The incident gained widespread attention after a 29-second video went viral, showing a large group of motorcyclists surrounding the car before one of them punches and kicks the driver’s side.
The victim, a 52-year-old security guard, lodged a police report stating he was surrounded by the group near the toll plaza at about 4am.
