PETALING JAYA: Police are investigating the case of an RMAF personnel reported missing for more than a week.

Serdang police chief Farid Ahmad said Ammar Ariffin, 27, who was undergoing a course at the RMAF’s Institute of Materials Management Training in Bandar Kinrara, went swimming with three colleagues at Sungai Kedondong in Batang Kali at about 4.30pm on Aug 23.

“He was last seen after bathing in the river. After the swim, they left in their cars,” Farid said in a statement today.

“His roommate from the course tried to contact him at about 6pm on Aug 24, but his phone was switched off.”

He said an RMAF officer from the institute lodged a police report at about 4.15pm the following day when Ammar failed to return.
