KEPALA BATAS – The Penang Deputy Public Prosecutor (DPP) is reviewing the investigation paper regarding the incident of the owner of a hardware shop in Jalan Bertam Perdana, here, who was detained to assist in the investigation into the incident of the Jalur Gemilang being displayed upside down in front of his premises.
Seberang Perai Utara district police chief ACP Anuar Abd Rahman said his party sent the investigation paper to the DPP’s office at 2.30 pm today after the police completed their investigation into the case.
“The investigation paper has been referred to the DPP and was informed the investigation paper will be referred to Putrajaya for further instructions,” he said in a statement today.
Today, the media reported that the 59-year-old hardware shop owner has been released on police bail after the police finished recording his statement.
