Police confirm no hit-and-run in Taman Sri Gombak incident
GOMBAK: Claims on social media that an incident where a car crashed into three parked vehicles in Taman Sri Gombak was a hit-and-run were false, says police
Gombak OCPD Asst Comm Noor Ariffin Mohamad Nasir, in a statement on Sunday (July 20), said that the driver of the car had lodged a police report on the same day as the incident (July 19).
“The driver, a 68-year-old man, was travelling from Jalan Tun Razak towards Sri Gombak. When he was driving through Taman Sri Gombak, he swerved his car after a dog suddenly crossed the road.
“He then lost control of his vehicle and crashed into three other cars that were parked at the side of the road,” said ACP Noor Ariffin.
The driver suffered no injuries, and all affected parties have filed their police report on the matter.
