PETALING JAYA: The Malaysian Communications and Multimedia Commission (MCMC) is probing six people suspected of uploading false and offensive content involving Yang di-Pertuan Agong Sultan Ibrahim and the Conference of Rulers on Facebook.
MCMC said it questioned one of the suspects who allegedly uploaded false content about a Conference of Rulers’ meeting, in Setapak, Kuala Lumpur, today.
Forensic analysis will be conducted on a smartphone and a SIM card which were confiscated in relation to the case.
MCMC said it would be questioning another suspect tomorrow with Bukit Aman’s classified crime investigation unit.
Suspects in Sungai Petani, Kota Bharu, Kerian, and Teluk Intan will also be called in for questioning in four separate probes, said MCMC.
