Jeju crash: No Malaysians on board, Wisma Putra confirms
PETALING JAYA: The Foreign Ministry confirms that there were no Malaysians on board Jeju Air Flight 7C2216, which veered off the runway and crashed at Muan International Airport in South Korea on Sunday (Dec 29).
Wisma Putra said the Malaysian embassy in Seoul had confirmed that there were no Malaysians on board the aircraft, with all but two rescued passengers presumed dead.
The passenger jet was carrying 181 people on board.
“Malaysia extends its deepest sympathies and condolences to the victims and families affected by the incident, as well as to the people and government of the Republic of Korea,” Wisma Putra said in a statement Sunday.
