Tentera Israel mula memasuki Semenanjung Gaza
Tentera rejim Israel hari ini memasuki Semenanjung Gaza sebagai sebahagian daripada operasi ketenteraan bagi menentang Pergerakan Perjuangan Islam Palestin (Hamas).
“Pesawat Israel dan tentera akan melakukan serangan di Semenanjung Gaza,” kata sumber tentera dalam mesej ringkas, lapor AFP.
Jurucakap tentera Israel, Jonathan Conricus mengesahkan bahawa tentera sudah memasuki wilayah Palestin.
Israel bombarded Gaza with artillery and air strikes on Friday in response to a new barrage of rocket fire from the Hamas-run enclave, in an intensification of a conflict that has now claimed more than 100 Palestinian lives.
The United Nations said the Security Council would meet on Sunday to address the conflict, while the U.S. Secretary of State Antony Blinken said in Washington was “deeply concerned about the violence in the streets of Israel”.
