Faizal Azumu: Perak Perikatan to go all out for its Slim by-election candidate, whoever that may be
Perak Perikatan Nasional will go all out to support any candidate from its coalition parties for the Slim state constituency by-election, says Datuk Seri Ahmad Faizal Azumu (pic).
The Perak Mentri Besar, however, said that any discussion has yet to be held.
“We have yet to discuss it among our coalition parties.
“Once a decision is made, whoever the candidate is, all of our coalition parties will show their full support,” he told reporters after paying his last respects to the late state PAS Pemuda Dewan Himpunan Pendukung chief M. Youghan, who passed away in Tambun here on Friday (July 17).
The state seat has been left vacant following the death of Datuk Kushairi Abdul Talib, who passed away on July 15.
PKR has indicated that they would contest the seat.
Meanwhile, Faizal said he would take up the Parti Pribumi Bersatu Malaysia (Bersatu) deputy president post when the time comes.
“I will give support and cooperation to the party and the president.
“This is a responsibility for me to serve the party better,” he said.
It was reported that Prime Minister Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin and Faizal had unofficially won their respective positions as party president and deputy president without contest. The Star
