MACC officials in Komtar to meet councillors over undersea tunnel project
Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) officials went to Komtar to question state executive councillors on the Penang undersea tunnel project.
Four officers were seen entering the office of state Public Works, Utilities and Flood Mitigation Committee chairman Zairil Khir Johari on the 52nd floor of Komtar at 9.40am on Friday (July 3).
Three other officers were at Deputy Chief Minister ll Dr P. Ramasamy’s office at 10.05am.
Zairil was not in his office, while Ramasamy later walked out to attend a meeting.
It is believed that Chief Minister Chow Kon Yeow will also be questioned, but there has been no confirmation from Chow’s office.
