4 cawangan Kek Sayang di Kedah ditutup akibat Covid-19

4 cawangan kedai Kek Sayang ditutup kerana salah seorang pekerjanya menjadi kontek rapat dengan pesakit COVID-19.

Pekerja tersebut telah menjalani ujian dan didapati positif Covid-19.

Bagi menjaga keselamatan dan kesihatan pelanggan serta pekerja, syarikat mengambil keputusan untuk menutup keempat-empat cawangan mereka yang berada di Jalan Teluk Wanjah, Aman Central, Simpang Kuala dan juga di Jitra.

Di bawah ini adalah kenyataan yang telah dikeluarkan oleh syarikat tersebut di dalam media sosial.

Dear customers, friends & family, the management of Kek Sayang would like to share information pertaining Covid-19 pandemic. We were informed by KKM that 1 of our staff (cashier) in Telok Wanjah outlet came into close contact with a Covid-19 positive individual on 1pm, Tuesday, 1st September 2020.

Unfortunately, the staff which was taken to hospital immediately after the news is tested positive for Covid-19 and is currently quarantined for treatment. She is asymptomatic (not having any symptoms). We are praying for her speedy recovery and well-being. We have been advised by KKM to not put out any information until results are available for fear of creating panic.

We have ceased operation of all 4 branches of Kek Sayang: Telok Wanjah, Aman Central, Jitra and Simpang Kuala. Subsequently all our staff including management staff underwent Covid-19 screening. To safeguard the health and wellbeing of all our staff and customers, KKM has advised us to implement the strictest preventive measures. We will remain close until further directives from KKM and all staff and family will remain in quarantine. Before the bakeries are allowed operation, a KKM appointed agency will carry out a thorough disinfection process in all the bakeries premises.

We are working closely with KKM and giving them full cooperation. KKM is doing the needful with regards to contact tracing.

The health and wellbeing of our staff and customers are of the utmost priority. We will continue to monitor the situation and act according to advise from KKM to safeguard interest of our staff and customers. We will provide updates as soon as we have.

It is our humble appeal to disbelieve messages that has been circulating on social platforms and WhatsApp. We, management of Kek Sayang will be providing updates on our FB page. Please remain calm and strong.
